New York, NY, April 21, 2022 — This fall, hone scientific inquiry and satisfy curiosity with new books from The Rosen Publishing Group and Scientific American, the magazine known for reporting on important and exciting research, ideas and knowledge in science, health, technology, the environment, and society since 1845. The new imprint, Scientific American Educational Publishing, will launch with 16 titles in Fall 2022 and 18 new titles in Spring 2023. Additionally, The Rosen Publishing Group will immediately begin selling more than 80 previously published Scientific American eBooks through its various distribution channels.

In Bring Science Home, a new 8-book series launching in Fall 2022, key STEM concepts including food physics, design and engineering, and math will be presented through a series of hands-on science experiments and activities geared toward upper elementary students. In Scientific American Explores Big Ideas, a new 8-book series for high school students, issues in contemporary science are presented in ways that promote critical thinking and analysis skills. Books include resources such as How COVID-19 Changed the World, The Science of Sports, Understanding Violence, and Smartphone Generation: The Effects of Smartphones on Teens for further study.

Scientific American’s legacy of conveying complex information in relevant and timely ways while incorporating many voices and opinions aligns with Rosen’s mission to create books that inform, provoke, and inspire,” said Ken Katula, CEO of The Rosen Publishing Group. “Quality, compelling STEM content enriches students’ abilities to identify and embrace a love of science. We are especially pleased to not only offer print and eBooks, but to also incorporate Scientific American’s extensive content into Rosen’s existing databases.”

“For over 175 years, Scientific American has been devoted to publishing enlightening, awe-inspiring coverage of the most pressing issues of our time,” said Scientific American Associate Vice President of Business Development Diane McGarvey. “We are excited to partner with The Rosen Publishing Group so that we can foster the next generation to be scientifically curious and informed.”
